Was there a worse month to fall behind on this blog?
No, there was not.
So much has happened, and it’s going to take me a while to catch up. My book was chosen as Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month; was launched in London at Daunt Books with authors such as Frances Hardinge in attendance; was launched in Oxford at Blackwell’s Bookshop, which sold out of books; was reviewed very favourably in the Sunday Times Culture Magazine; and was Children’s Book of the Week in The Times.
It is also currently the bestselling children’s book at Waterstones, and is number six overall.
So…please bear with me. For now, here’s a picture of me with Frances Hardinge as featured in The Bookseller, one of my favourite authors, and truly lovely person to boot.
